sorry guys haven't been online in a little while. I talked to my dad over the weekend and he thought it to be that the ignition was firing when the intake valve was open and then the "boom" happened when the intake valve was open and came out the intake with the "pop" noise. It sounded just as if the car was backfiring, except muffled. I was at a loss, I couldn't figure it out, I tried unplugging spark plug wires to see which cyl it was comming from, but that didn't help, just made the car stall. I couldn't figure it out, but since I was there I took off the 3800 cover, saw this little thing like an air pump connector, you know for a tire? well I pressed on it, gas came out i let go. Put the cap back on and the cover too. then took out the IAC and thoughly cleaned it, I couldn't get it to move with my hands at all and it was jet black, cleaned it to a beautiful goldi/silver shine and was moving nicely but not freely [its a solenoid so it shouldn't move freely] installed it back in and cleaned the MAF screen, more like a honnycomb shape. installed everything back in, and she ran just fine, took her around the block [ well my mom did but same thing ] and she still ran just fine. Don't know what happened, but neither do I care.

As far as the oil pressure thing goes, the gauge went out because of a loose connection between the c1 connector and the ip. that'* all fixed now.

In the 13 1/2 years that its been in the family, this has never happened before. This car is just giving me so much crap right now.. I don't understand what the hell it'* problem is. If only I could get the damn thing to start.. check other thread for why, if your curious.
