Default OMG it wasn't the trans

Well dudes, I know it'* been a while, but I have only now gotten around to doing the trans in the bonnie.... and only now pulled off the tires and looked around etc... well it turns out the CV joint had failed beyond belief. Garbage it is. And it made the noises of a blown *** differential. Well it was all just a blown CV joint... bastard pos. Tomorrow i've got to get onto finding a cv and selling a trans... bc I don't have a job and that'* all I have LOL. I wish everyone a nice day, for this is good news...

Yeah, glad you found that now, instead of right after the tranny swap!

Nice to have you back.

It was the driver'* side. I have the old one out.. and everything ready for installment tomorrow. I got the wrong one at the jyard and will be taking it back for another tom... since i got it saturday. Then I just need to put the radiator back in and the hood back on and i'll be driving away. Still going to have bad motor mounts, and still going to have those damn bad valve guide seals... pisses me off bc I hated those horrible mounts.... I have all the new stuff already bought too! Oh well, I guess that is life... at least I can be driving a refined car instead of a raw truck... going to be a nice change. Something with a radio and something with more than turn signals and battery hardwired headlights LOL.

Yeehaw dudes.. she'* back. After a few very long days of work... she'* back. It'* dark out, can't see a damn thing but the tranny shifts into all gears [a bit scary at first... she didn't want to right away ].. ain't got no hood, and the battery doesn't want to hold a charge very long.. but god damn is it good to have her back. The valve stem seals are so bad i went from half full to add driving the first mile. Poor old girl... but otherwise yeehaw burning rubber [maybe, too scared with the trans acting weird]. First is still all there, but the 1-2 shift is like reevvvvvvvv catching, catching boom... then drive is the same way but with less revvs.. The only thing it could be is that i threw in 2bts of lucas in with a new filter and hadn't started the car in 4+mo then added coolant and drove ya know? And it got a bit better when the car started running hot before the tstat popped but it didn't seem to get perfect. And once it shifted the gears felt like they were all there ya know... 3rd was always shitty and idk if I remember it better than it was or what.. but it doesn't feel secure like 1,2,4. Idk... you guys think with a full hot motor that'll clear up?

This is my take on Lucas products:

Nasty stuff.

But yet it shut up a knock in my ford 3.8 long enough to drive it 200+mi on a no oil pressure motor, and was still going, but it was hammering hard... and then its holding my tranny together long enough for me to get through the winter. And it'* fixed countless power steering leaks thru my pos cars... and even brought back a pos ford pump that made more noise than pressure to a usable one. I say it'* good stuff. I'm a believer in their stuff.
