moonroof trouble
Hi Guys! I am new here. Just thought I would tell you a tale for FR. I just got my 87 SE yesterday and the first thing that went wrong was that the moonroof would'nt close after some use. The mechanics of the thing was obviously jamming up. I pulled the whole mess out and found that the plastic liner inside of the aluminum guide tubes for the drive cables had worked its way into the drive gear. It was a long painfull process to work the entire liner out of the tube an inch at a time, but now the thing works fine.
Thanks for a great forum!
Todd.

Be glad the motor didn't break.....
My moonroof raises and goes all the way back and then forward again, but it doesn't stop/pause inbetween the sunroof and moonroof state.
Cost is a new motor (or part)... cost is $1200.
