Purchase price just went down to $1400.

How'* it look underneath? I'm also curious about this: ".i noticed the low oil guage was on though," There is an oil pressure gauge and an oil level sensor. If the oil level is low then that'* one thing. If the oil pressure is low then that'* another, more serious thing.
actually...it might be an 89...what would the label say on the driver door?

The label located on the inside of the driver'* door may indicate the date of manufacture but I normally go by the 10th digit of the VIN.

H = 1987
J = 1988
K = 1989
L = 1990
M = 1991
N = 1992
P = 1993

Do look at the Vin number to see what model year the car actually is..
i think it did...

Also unless it has been changed in the past, the Teeves ABS accumulator probably needs to be replaced - if the red light comes on after 2-3 pumps (or less) then it is probably so.

Spins on and off like an oil filter so easy to change and think it is now a touch over $100 delivered from GMPartsDirect.

Am I the only one whos actually had bad door handles? Not the latches, the handles themselves? When I bought mine, you couldnt get in either drivers side door. Push the button & it feels like it was disconnected-nothing at all. It ended up being a pin inside the exterior handle itself was rotted out on both doors. A little bit later the same thing happened to the passengers side. I figured it was a common thing, since it was hard to find a decent one at all the junkyards (let alone 4 of them!). You guys are pulling guts out, replacing springs & doing rain dances

That happened here on the front passenger door when I first got the car.

Managed to get it fixed after removing the offending door handle, opening it up, and taking care of those pins (I forget how, it'* been a few years). Didn't need a new handle at all.
