Default Im New. Got a couple ?* for ya.

1: Anyone have the Fuse Diagram for an 88 Bonny? i want to make sure they are all there i just bought the car.

2: Is It just me or Do these doors suck? lock it and it freezes. keep it unlocked and its fine. any clue on how to free a frozen door?

3: I know the bonnys have a problem with water in the trunk and a stench that could kill a mule. any hints on stopping/preventing water from entering the trunk? I noticed it comes from below the spare tire spot.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks If u can.

EDIT: its a regular Bonny not an SSE

1 i only have one for a 90 & 91 so that probably wouldnt help you

2 yes they suck, i fixed it by pulling off the door panel and applying pb blaster liberally to the lock assembly then adding large amounts of lithium grease

3 i know nothing of this water problem, mine never leaked (se and sse) try replacing the weatherstripping that the trunk closes onto with a better one from the junkyard

It sounds like the plug in the bottom of the trunk ( under the tire) either fell out or rotted out, the same thing happened to my 90 Cutlass that I had, the plug rusted out. You may have to rivet a piece of steel over the hole and make sure you seal it.

Default water

I hadn't noticed a plug in the bottom when I lifted the carpet and padding in the trunk. I have been getting water in after heavy rains, for the last year. Fortunately, that'* been like *3* times in the last year here in warm and sunny So. California. I did look over the trunk gasket and noticed a spot by the front DS corner that looked like water was weeping through. I didn't think water was coming from below because I found moisture running up the side wall of the trunk, and the puddles form at the DS rear of the trunk. Not in the middle or right side.

Yea it might be the lining under the tire ill check that out. As for the door. It had some work done to it previously and I was told that if I play with the lock inside the car it will come unlocked eventually. I dont know. At least the driver and the rear-driver doors still work alright. I guess ill have to fiddle with it a little bit untill it opens and lube it up really good. If you guys can find a good diagram for the fuse box that would be great. If not I guess Ill keep on searching the net or going and buying a chiltons. If u have any hints feel free to pm me via AIM or the forum. Thanks for the help again.

I've never had any problem with the '87 either. And it sits outside 24/7. Has for years. Just try going to a junkyard and pulling the weatherstripping off another car that'* in good shape. That'* what i did for my drivers door instead of paying like $100 for it new.

so will the wd-40. That stuff doesn't last for long. I started using some stuff called Release-All, and is pretty much the same price as wd-40 but is WAY better.
