maybe that'* why mine has a 1200RPM idle
I really don't believe it is normal for the ECU to call for a 1500RPM idle. Cold or not. But to be honest, anything is possible on these cars. Maybe the IAC has failed and only has intermittent use? 1500RPM cold, could be 1000RPM warm. I believe I have that right.

When it is -30C my Bonne will start up and idle at 1500 and slowly drop down to 700 or so. But during the summer it will start up and maybe hit 1500 for a split second and drop right down to 700.
