yup. 1000 rpm'* is good, anything under that and the alternator will not make the correct charge, trust me, I have learned from experience

now remember if you are going by the Gauge then thats not right most of the time.

Hook a scan tool up and it will be diffrent most of the time. mine Said 1,000ish on my SE and when i check it on the scan tool it was like 850-900.

TV Cable = Throttle valve cable......

on the older gen it controls the shift points for the transmission

Yeah, what do you need to know about it? And your idle is ECM controlled, you can't change it. It is governed correctly by all the air/fuel sensors and then controlled by the IAC.

The TV cable should be adjusted so that there is no slack in it, anotherwords, just enough so its right against the plate, but not being pulled. Don't just start adjusting things with the idea that its going to run better or shift differently. Being that these cars are all computer controlled, its not always a good idea to go messing with them to give them false readings, etc. How did you go about "closing the throttle all the way"? Also, is that the correct voltage for the TPS? It sounds right, but i'd have to check. I do believe that it should be right around 0.45v though. Thats a little low. But if you're not getting an SES light from it, you should be fine.
