Default start

When it won't start, check for spark at the plugs , and injector pulse at the rail.
Let us know what you find.

Default yes

code 42 means its your ignition coil or your ignition coil module... my thought is its your ignition coil... its a common problem on older cars..

yeah, i would try replacing your ignition and coils and see if that fixes it. you can either replace them with type II or magnivox. I have a set of magnivox coils if you need them.

Default anyone? HELP

Does anyone know how to check if your electronic spark module is good?
is that the thing here all the spark plug wires come from going into the engine, also i tried to check if i could get a spark by sticking a screwdriver into one of the spark plug connections and the electronic spark control but saw no spark?

car wont' start turns over but doesnt start so could it be the electronic spark module????? :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Default spark

Take a spare spark plug and put the wire on it. and ground it against the manifold while someone cranks the engine. You should see the plug sparking if the ign is working.

Just what I was thinking, I wasn't aware that any Bonnevilles of this era got a 3.1.
