Hey Guyz been awhile! LN3
well the Reatta is doing well
3" intake
2.5 exhaust w/o cat dual pipes
delco ignition conversion (thank you Padgett)
GMTUNERS.com custom chip
ran a 16.43 at the track warmed up without the chip. Hope the chip gets me into the 15.9999999999 area. lol.
still looking for more ideas for the LN3! any new ideas?

ported heads!!
I think that exhaust is too big for the LN3. 2.25" is perfect up until power boosters come in [Nitrous, Supercharger, Turbocharger]. Did you get headers? Clean up that retarded thing at the end of the rear header [a poor construction lip] if factory headers. Tons of little things you can do. If you have a scantool, maybe you can find out more of what your ECU is doing, and perhaps tune to that chip real well, or maybe do a little bit of fuel work or spark advancement [93 octane tune].
Awesome track times, btw. What final drive ratio you running and what is your curb weight?

2.97 FDR
curb weight is 3333
rockers? other TB applications?
Reatta has onboard diagnostics I can see spark advance as I am going down the road
I was looking at the back exhaust manifold bolts (flang bolts) scary.

Rockers will do it, but they are pricey.. are you looking at expensive mods? Because rockers, new valve springs, and a mild cam would really wake the engine up. I thought you just meant like basic stuff and whatnot.
2.97... that'* a good ratio. That'* what I've got, and my car weighs about that much, probably a couple hundred pounds more. I wish I could run 16s! Lucky!

The rear manifold fix is a good idea, despite the work involved. It will sound better too, particularly without the cat. Watch the knock retard number on the diagnostic. If you aren't seeing any retard, usually at or just after a shift, you can still use more timing added to the chip. I like to see one or two degrees of retard at the shift, but just for a moment. Cool the engine temperature also with a 160 thermostat and revised cooling fan program in the chip to match. I found my best acceleration numbers were with the engine in the 140 degree range but that is too cool. Even 160 may make it run a little richer, but it works good all around. With a cooler engine and 93 octane it will like a lot of timing.

well the chip is programmed for a 180 stat. I will check the knock retard if any and see what gmtuners.com can do for me. what rockers can be used on the LN3? I was thinking if the trans ever goes, I was going to switch to a 3.33 FDR or 3.73 FDR.
checked the knock retard and I have none. I got "1" only once and very breif at a WOT 2nd onto 3rd shift thats it.

Timing is probably pretty close for the fuel you are using and the engine temperature. If you drop engine temperature more, it will likely work better with a few degrees more timing. I would guess a lower final drive ratio will tolerate a little more timing too as the engine load will be lower. That is conjecture on my part, but load will be very high at the 2-3 shift, and you will likely see no retard at the 1-2 shift.
