Im taking my car to crappy tire to do the CVjoint replacement, as well as have them check the computer for the codes and probley fix a O2 which is probley what the reading will be.
As for that.. im feeling pretty confident its the O2 but will see..

You're *choosing* to go to Crappy Tire? You can do better than that... they aren't exactly cheap.

Let me know how much the CV replacement costs.

For the love of God, don't take it to Canadian Tire. I have heard way to many horror stories and they tried to RIP my Grandpa on two seperate occasions with the Bonneville. When the power windows stopped working they were going to charge him $1000 to replace some "electrical harness." He said no, and parked the car. I got it fixed last summer at a local auto shop - the problem was broken wires and nothing else.

The people who work there are only apprentice mechanics, and theres usually only one certified mechanic on staff to check the job. My Dad'* friend got his serpentine belt replaced there and it fell off a day later. They do terrible work and overcharge.

Ask around and find a local mechanic you can trust. You will be happier.

I'm surprised my emergency Crappy Tire tranny line job is still holding up.






(by the way, it was $225 after labour and all for a $16 line)
