If available in '88 it must have been a mid-year addition, I have two 88 (printed in 87) cataloges "The Hot Ones" and "Road Cars" and neither references or pictures a CD.

My owner'* manual has a pic of it. Check your '88s OM, to see. It'* under "radio operation" or something stupid like that.
