so I installed the new water pump...
no leaks so far!
and the service engine soon still came on but only once during my drive which is about 40-50km

Hope you had a better time than I did. 2 of my WP bolt holes stripped on the block and I had to drill it out and put in some helicoils. It was the first time I did such a thing, and didn't like that it was in such a critical place. Came out OK though.
