I found several new ignition modules that would not run on the car but tested good. After inserting the test box everything worked fine. Only thing I can think of is some corrosion on the pins.

That connector is really not the greatest in the world but fortunately is part of a short harness extension that is only about three feet long so a replacement from a boutique de junque is easy.
