Delco Ignition upgrade questions.

The only difference I seen between the 2 ICMs that I have is that the one from the GA is IDENTICAL for the plug in, where as the 3800 ICM has an extra pin that is used. If I remember correctly it is only for a ground. But without any modification, both styles will plug in and work fine.

Yeah I had a post on that extra pin when I did mine. It meant nothing to the operation of the car.

I've been checking the yards for a 3800 Delco ICM. Cannot find em as they go fast. One thing I hate about the yards, is they tell me the 3800 delco ignition won't work in my 91'* magnavox. This is silly of course, abut they make it sound as if they don't want to sell me the system.
I'm gonna check the dealer, and see what they cost, brand new. If I cannot get one for a reasonable price, guess I am stuck with my magnavox.

I can research this further if needed....
AC Delco would also be a huge help in this area

I am pretty sure it is 93, since I think that is the year that is written on the parts ( in a paint pen). So to be on the safe side, look for at least 93. Not sure if they changed it anytime after that.
