I finally did the ignition swap last week- and I do notice a difference.
Met up with JDQ and he tested the resistance on them- 5.7, 5.7 and 5.6. Car starts better, and somthing else is different too...but I can't put my finger on it.
and I kno....
but I've been so busy with work....

The Delco Type 2 system fires a bit hotter... Should have better starts, slightly nicer idle, better throttle response, and possibly nice smoother power in the upper RPM range
Milage here has crept up a bit too

And plus...it looks better
. nice to hear that someone else is also getting better gas milege...anything to get that is worth it. I use mid grade in her, she seems to like that. Been using 89 octane for about 8 months now, and milege on the freeway has also improved, as well as power.
do you have the type 2 on both 91'*? and I can't remember if I asked you- what color is your interior on the SSE?

My friend will be swapping his Park Ave to the Type 2 system as well... Once you have a Type 2 system you just don't want to go back to the Magnavox...lol

JR I did look at your CD site and saw the 91' and I like the two tone DSG interior. its very soft- a friend HAD a 91 SE (that he never took care of :? ) with the same two tone. Nice to hear that your're working on the SSE. I look forward to seeing the pics when she'* ready for the road.
SSEBONNE4EVA- I have left the Magnavox in the trunk since the swap. I think that I'll leave it there just in case too.
