Default code 41

I replaced the cam sensor on my 1990 Pontiac Bonneville and I am still getting code 41.
What else could be causing this code?

Did you check if the cam magnet is still there. There is the sensor and then there is the magnet inside the hole the sensor goes into, it is usually the magnet that has fallen out.Do a search on cam magnet.

Nine times out of ten, the cam interruptor magnet breaks loose and is flung into the oil pan. The correct way to fix this is to totally remove the front cover of the engine and pop a new magnet in... however, there is an easy way to pop it in from the cam sensor hole... but I only suggest you use this method if you are NOT in need of a new timing chain and gear anyway (they only last around 100k miles).

Heres a thread regarding the topic over at LeSabreT:

And the how-to replace the magnet the "easy" way:
