Default Code 12 Help!

Hi people! I was accelerating on the frewway ramp and the C/E light came on; it drives fine but the light stays on. I hooked up my code reader and got #12. I lost my book and was wondering if anyone could help me. Thanks all.

12 is not a code.. That'* the diagnostic indicator. What other codes did you get?

Default 12 is too a code

actually 12 IS a code. it means no crank reference. it just means that the engine is not spinning. or the crank sensor does not see it spinning, in which case your engine is not spinning :P (not under it'* own power anyway) you must have another code in there, why did you buy a code reader? i hope you didn't pay too much for it. you can just use a paper clip or anything else that conducts electricity to get the codes out of that car. maybe that code reader isn't reading all of the codes??

Code 12 is the "no current problems" indicator, will have to look in the history file to find out what codes have been set in the past.

Not everything that will turn the SES light on will set a code.
