Car pulls to the left while braking
So, I've had this problem for a while now and it'* finally starting to get on my nerves. As soon as the brakes warm up, the car pulls to the left while braking.
I changed the front calipers a while ago thinking that this would make the problem go away, but it didn't. I am on my second set of Performance Friction pads and it seemed like the problem wasn't there when I first put the new set of pads on, but it'* definitely there now. What are the odds that two sets of pads would cause the same thing to happen?
The front brake hoses were changed together with the calipers. The master cylinder maybe has 20k miles on it, but I don't think that this would have anything to do with left to right braking anyway. The car does have ABS.
The front end alignment seems fine because I did that recently too and the car doesn't pull to the left while just driving down the road.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Well I can honestly say that I don't have any REAL good ideas as to your problem, but I do have a question.
Have you ever replaced your ball joints in your car?

He had the alignment checked already :P
The rotors COULD do it, but I've never heard of it....But I can see how they could...But you'd have to have a week caliper for a good long time.

The car still has the original ball joints with about 115k miles.
The rotors were changed the last time together with the current pads.
The only thing that I can think of is that the caster might be off from when the trans was rebuilt and they reinstalled the cradle. But again, the car drives perfectly straight as long as the brakes are not applied. I know that the camber and the toe are set to specs because I watched them do it at the alignment shop.

Yeah, rear brakes that have been neglected will probably cause that problem. how are the rear brake hoses too?
Also, those pads you put on, sure they're not the problem? Try another regular set of pads?

The rear brakes were going to be next on my list of things to look at. The hoses are original. The shoes were replaced about 80k miles ago. I guess that I should look at them, huh? The parking brake seems to hold the car very well though. I suppose that one of the pistons in the rear could be bad or it could be worn hardware. When I hit the brakes, it feels like the rear right corner lifts more than the left rear. That'* what started me thinking about the rear brakes.

You not only have to check the adjustment of the rear brakes, but you should also check if a front caliper is siezed or sticking. If OK Then procede to bleed the brakes at all four wheels. It sounds like an unequal pressure is happening either mechanically or hydrolically.
