hi my 1988 sse just hit 76,000 original miles and the rotate tires reminder light came on and i cant figure out hot to reset it or correct it. i recently put new chrome rims and tires on about 500 miles ago so i dont need to rotate the tires. any one no how..? thanks

Have you tried unhooking the battery for a few minutes?

no i have not but will that reset the dic and make me loose my other reminders that will be popping up soon like change oil and stuff.?

and yes the 88'* have the dic. my 88 has every option execpt stock cd player which did not come into play untill 89.. i even have an built in air compressor in my trunk

why was this moved? aint this electrical? thanks

why dont you change the oil early, and get all maintenance out of the way, and then reset the computer by disconnecting the battery

i changed the oil and all my plugs, wires and filters as well at about 500 miles ago. im thinking about changing all the sensors as i was told it will make the car perform better but for now i just want to turn off the reminder and unplugging the vattery worked as it restet it.. im suprised the owners manual or the chilton dont say how to.. well i cant find it,

for oil and filter which should be the same as the others.
I press and hold the DIC ,, it flashes.. then you cycle until you reach the option you want and then push once and hold to reset.

Thats correct, reset it just like you do the oil reminders. Press and hold the DIC button while that function is displayed.
