or should i just replace the gaskets and paint my old valve covers..

there is no paint on the stock valve covers. they are a solid composite.

just replace the gaskets and paint them when you have them off.

if you want to paint them ahead of time, there are some on ebay, http://search.ebay.com/search/search...ers&category0=

You will need these, as you have a LN3 with the tube in the front valve cover.

LN3s came with aluminum covers

Find another pair of LN3s, get them beadblasted, then powdercoat clear.
