Remove that airbox.. you'll find some. That'* where all mine is. And a little under the fender lip [inside engine bay].

Maybe try some 3" PVC pipe? That stuff is cheap. Would it fit in there?

You mean put the PVC pipe inside the factory accordion tube?

Two problems with that:

a) it needs to flex.

b) that would make it smooth (aside from the transitions to and from the PVC that is), but it would also make it smaller I.D. You might be better off with bumpy and bigger (aka: the stock accordion tube).

JMFC is correct, not to mention, 3" PVC would be too big to fit in there. The only real fix, is a new [smooth] coupler.

Sorry, there is a place where there is no salt (or winter).

dirt, yes, but no rust.

The Bonne has been our family car since new. AFAIK the engine comparment has never been detailed (I did dust the area after moving the airbox aside.

After my school years in Indiana and Michigan it was nice to have a home where you could remove an original exhaust manifold and not expect to break at least one bolt in the process.

Wow, that is awesome. My baby had rust in FL.. just a little, but it was there. Wonder how it got there. But it only got worse in Michigan. Nothing a little sanding and some paint couldn't take care of, but it is kinda ugly.

Should have specified *central* Florida (Sebring, WinterHaven, Orlando, Ocala, Leesburg, Gainesville). I grew up on the coast and got tired of watching things rust.

Aye, we lived in Inverness, FL. Which was in the ceter, I believe. Oh well, I live in Michigan now.. so it doesn't really matter. Everything rusts, including plastic
