A/C quit working
Cars been doing fine and now the a/c or Auto button on the Electronic Climate Control has quit working. It has been working fine until last week. I usually just use the Econ setting, but it has been getting warm lately and I have been using the A/C on the way home from work. Well the other day it decided not to work, all the other buttons work except for the AUTO button.
I checked the fuse under the drivers side dash, but don't know where else to check. I know there are fuses under the passenger side dash and there are relays under the hood, but which ones am I looking for? What else is there to check? The defroster still works on the winshield, so doesn't that mean the compressor is still working?
Thanks for the help

A few answers from you would help us to understand what is going on.
1) First off, what year and trim level is your Bonneville?
2) Does the A/C still work on Econ setting or any other setting?
3) You say that the defroster still works. Does that mean the blower is working and blowing air onto your windshield? If so, that does not necessarily mean the compressor is working, BTW.
Help us understand your problem better and we should be able to offer some advice.

For the cars with Electronic Climate Control...
I don't know about the newer cars, but for this section AC doesn't work on ECON, it'* vent only. If the system is working correctly, the only settings that will give you chilled air are DEFROST and AUTO.

Sorry about that. It is a 1991 Buick Park Avenue with electronic climate control. Every other setting seems to work fine.
Thanks

Ok, so we still need some more information in order to get where you want.
Does nothing at all happen when you use the Auto button? Or do you get air, but it is warm air?

It just beeps, and whatever button is on, stays on. If you have it on Econ and push the Auto button it beeps but the Econ button stays on

be more descriptive
1. I don't guess I have ever heard mine beep.
2. What happens if it is "Off" and you push the "Auto" button
3. Can you get it to blow cold air on "Defrost"
