Default Junkyard score, Strut Tower Brace and other ???

Found a 92 (I think) SE today at the junkyard (yeah its white LOL) so I scored the STB from it. Master cylinder clearance is ample. However, when I install it, so I leave the flat metal brackets that are currently there, in place or remove them and just set the STB in and bolt it up?

Also, the seats in my LE are manual, drivers side is quite broken down and ripped. Not too comfy for long drives. Is the seat bolt pattern the same in case I get lucky and can find some suitable manual seats from another Bonneville/Lesabre? I forgot to look at the donor car, but will be going back soon.

I still have the flat metal bracketry in place for my STB, it in turn leaves an impression on the hoodliner, but it works.

The seat pattern is the same.

For those wanting to add the STB, I found its easier to loosen the 2 bolts on each end of the STB so there is some slop in the bar. Otherwise (and how I did it the first time) you have to tap the STB over one side of the threads. Not pretty and it didnt seem to tighten right. I did drive it yesterday a little like that ( grocery store and other errands) didnt feel any different.

So Today, I loosened up the bar from the brackets, loosened the strut tower bolts, it fell into postion much better. Then I torqued the strut tower bolts back down THEN tighted the bar to the brackets. NOW I can feel a difference. Not a great one, since I could probably use new endlink bushing, but its tighter.

I will probably go back and scavenge some other goodies from the donor car (seats and type 2 ignition!)

The seats will change up for sure! I've done it. My Interior is out of a 98 SLE.

There is a rear sway bar?
I've never seen one of those....
