Hello everyone sorry to have been away so long, but I am back and have a problem with my driver'* side door. The hinge is wearing out and it sounds like it is going to fall off. I put lubes on it and it helps for a little while, but I know this is not solving my problem. Can I replace the hinge alone or "fix" it or is this going to require a never ending search for another door? :?:

Ive replaced my drivers door hinge. It is a separate part. You can get them from a yard, for about $10. To replace it it does require two people though.
the hinge that I replaced mine was actually off a le sabre, that may have been a grandpa car, as there were no miles on the actual car. Worked great with no squeek (and I know the one that you mean!) since.

You probably only need to replace the pin and bushings on each hinge, and not the complete hinge itself. GM hinges had a tendancy to wear the bushings which caused doors to sag and squeak. Hinge pin kits run about $10 (2 per door) from most auto parts stores (ie. Napa)
Yup, I've got pin/bushing kits from the HELP section at Advance. I'm not sure what all is involved in a Bonne hinge. You may have to drill out of grind down a rivet on the old pin.
It'* not that bad of a job and you can do it yourself. What I've done is support the end of the door with a floor jack. Just a tiny bit of pressure to hold up the weight. The other hinge will hold it from tipping over.

I believe you're thinking of ford. GMs hinges are outstanding compared to fords hinges. My mustang'* doors nearly fell off, my friend'* thunderbird'* were bad, another friend'* cougar requires lifiting the door and my other friend'* grand marquis doors drop an inch when opened. My car is older than all those and has more miles. My doors don't sag a milimeter.

anyways
Part numbers for hinges are...
Upper LH Door: 20300445 $38.99 + *&H
Lower LH Door: 20693419 $67.40 +*&H
wd is no good it just evaporates i have a squeek in my lesabre passenger door (EEEEERRRRR is the sound it makes) but I used JIG-A-LOO in the orange can seeing as it does not evaporate...give that a try

CRC White Lithium grease is the bomb!! I have the new pin to put in the door($12), but can't get the 2-3 hrs needed to do the job. Had to get a part for my wife'* truck at Advance and started browsing. Anyway, it cost $3 and I coated the entire hinge and let it set for 4-5 hrs. it has yet to make a sound and the door opens easier than ever. I know eventually I will have to replace the pin, but for now the noise is gone and I can drive my bonne without being embarrassed to open the door. Yeeeee haaaa!
