Refusal to insure
Well, this day has been one hell of a bad one...first i get the car fixed.then i get a letter from my insurnace company saying they will no longer insure my car because of its age...I really hope that the P.C' * come through on this election because the only company willing to insure me wants 5000 a year , *(under a facility insurance plan)*...so for now the car is going to remain parked...waiting till the first of july when the public insurance plan is supposed to come out...:(

I don't know the laws in NB but can they actually refuse to insure a car because of age alone?
I got a few quotes for mine, the best deal I found was for $1000. But no one flat out refused to insure me. I'd start phoning around for more quotes.
Is there anything wrong w/ the car that would make it fail safety inspection?
When did/does your insurance run out on her?

It'* true, One insurance company tried that crap on me too. When a company does this it is because your driving record is good enough now & they don't want your business because that company can't make any money off of you. This is true for most "High Risk" companies. Best advice is to shop around to companies like Allstate, Statefarm, etc.
