A power steering line came loose from the bracket just below the throttle cables. it allowed the hose to come in to contact with the boot that surrounds the u joints on the steering column. Every time you turned the wheel the rubber boot would pull tight against the hose and cause it to sorta bind, causing my tension, the "pop" was the u joint going past the compressed fitting on the hose.
I was pissed and releaved all at the same time....

Glad to hear you got the issue solved... You should have seen me fight the water leaks on my 95.... After all I went through it was a single seam that was causing all of the headaches.. I too was both Pissed and Happy all at the same time
