This photo shows my steering wheel:

Indeed it doesn't have any screws on the back. The panel with all the buttons on can be pried off all the way round the outside with a screwdriver so it'* loose, but there is still something in the centre of it that I can't see which is holding it in place.

Nevermind, thanks for the help guys. I've got it booked into the garage now so they can have a go at it. At least that way I won't be responsible if they break it!
But if they brake it. There is no replacement parts for your stearing wheel. So eaven if they give you money for it youll still have a broken pice. So my sugestion would be to doit yourself & with love & patience.
