I've almost cut the fender a few times but held off. One day I may get an undertail, who knows. Right now any 'extra' money I have is going into the car to take care of little nit picky items. My bonnie could use a serious paint detailing one day, and I want to change tranny fluid, front rotors, needs new sunroof headliner, passenger seat heater, etc...
As some have noted, the bike is quick. In 2001, the year this one was made, magazine tests had it around 187 top end in 100% stock form. Lose your license quick, as most bikes are. Same horsepower at the wheel as the modern liter bikes that weigh 100 pounds less (and just bigger all over, not cramped at all), but it'* still damn quick and will toss you out of the seat if you're not hanging on when you snap to WOT. If I was 20 years younger I'd be in jail or dead.
