Bittersweet moment
I'll get right to the point....my beloved Vonny is gone. I traded her in recently. She had to many problems for me to take care of, including no A.C. This summer in NY has been absolutely brutal. Vonny did nothing but blew hot air. Also, no matter what I did, the electrical issue I was having was never resolved. It pained me soooo much to let her go though. I literally cried more than twice about it...when I still had her in my possession. Leaving her at the dealership was literally heart wrenching for me. She was my first car that I actually drove, and she was my baby. She NEVER let me down, in the 3 years that I had her. I'm gone from the Pontiac family...FOR NOW. I vow to get another one once this car is gone....in 2 and a half years. I ended up leasing myself a brand new car. I did it just to get myself through college. I pay for everything myself, so I needed something that I could afford and was half decent. I decided to bite the bullet and get a 2013 Sonata. I've always been a domestic guy, but I needed something fast. I was going to get the base GLS model, but in the showroom sat an SE model. It came equipped with what I was looking for, so I decided to go for it for a few extra bucks. I ended up having to wait 4 weeks...yes, 4 weeks for delivery. The color and options package I got was hard to find apparently. I get a lot of looks wherever I go. I ended up getting white in memory of my baby Vonny. Don't worry though...I'll be back in 2 and a half years with my Camaro SS and a bonneville once again. So without further ado, let me introduce Veronica.
2 days before I took delivery...my baby in the background :(
I don't think I did too bad for a 21 year old...paid for by myself...insurance and all. Lease and insurance is also under my name.

Congrats on the new ride, and hey buddy, no need for tears, GM has to step up to the plate and produce a nice reliable and sporty car like this to keep them going. The Cruze with the rubbermaid interior has gotta go. Sure the Cruze is nice but GM has to come out with something better to even compete with the other brands! The Cruze has a great powertrain etc, but the interior is the same ole same ole.... better than the Cobalt'* but not better than the competitor'*....

chevys have always been too plain, the only reason i bought a monte the last two times is grand prix wasnt available with the 3.4/3.5. some of the buicks are nice but they would have to have a no chrome and wood bs package and make the interior look like a mazda.

I'm also dealing with a northeast summer without A/C. I'm staying strong and getting a one-armed tan for now.
That'* still a pretty sharp car… for an import, that is. :roll eyes: But congratulations on getting a new car by yourself!
