I Hate Ford'*. But bought an '88 250 4x4 myself 10 years back for 2 g'*. I got about 50,000 hard working miles out of it before it rusted out. It still ran with 186k on the odometer when I gave it to a neighbor kids, but everything was rotted and falling off it. LOL

Myself, Im not a blue oval fan. I did recently own a 2001 F-150 that was nothing but a problem from the instant I got it. I will admit, those 460s are bulletproof!

Good luck with the truck. No longer a Ford fan. My dad is, but I'm a GM fan. I've had fords and was not happy with the qulity. They are tough trucks. I just wasn't happy with the workmenship. What are you planning to pull with that big boy?

I have a 2004 F-150 with the 5.4L. I have been very happy with it and have not had a lick of problems. I've increased the power and performance with lots of extra goodies and have the Edge on board programmer so I can switch between programs based on my needs. It sounds good, looks good and rides well. Just like anything in life, you either have a good experience with something and you like it, or you don't and you stay away from it. I've never had a problem with any of the Ford'* I've owned. However; in 1979 I bought a Camaro Berlinetta brand (with the 305) and had nothing but problems with it. I swore I would never own another GM product ever again. Silly me...

Please be careful with that engine the aluminum heads on there the spark plugs blow out of the side cuz there aren't many threads check the plugs on that engine cuz I just had a guy buy a F250 from gcr bridgestone were I work and he left and a plug shot out of one of the plug holes and its not a cheap fix either this guy just spent 800 buck on a heli coil to be put in

My only adventure into blue was my first car.... *dazes off into memory* 1979 Mustang... all original, like 40,000 miles, got it from my best friend whos grandparents bought it new.... loved that car...
but that was back when they made VEHICLES to last... not just fords but all vehicles... back when they cared about the product not the repairs
anyways hope the truck works for you and makes you happy... if not get back in the bonnie and smile
