Dad'* '04 F-250 Super Duty (gas).
Like most fuel-injected vehicles, it starts up with a nice rev and then on it'* way back down will level off with a nice idle. However, every once in a while, after its been driven and is warmed up, it starts and revs up like it should but instead of coming back down and leveling off at idle, it will keep dropping RPMs all the way down to nothing and shuts off.
If you manually depress the gas pedal after the revs start coming back down, it will stay running and idles out fine.
Your thoughts??? Very frustrating! I'm thinking it'* got to be some sort of electrical sensor. There is no stuttering, misfiring, whatsoever at any point.
Thanks.

I'm going to take a whack at this and say I'm 99.9% sure it'* the IAC motor (Idle air control). It'* a typical Ford thing, and only costs about 50-100 dollars, takes 2 minutes to replace.
It will look similar to that.
