Header Theory
After some good reading, I want Headers. Granted, a cam/valvetrain, and matched heads are what an L27 needs to make real power, Headers will help a lot on a larger engine like ours. Pre Series II manifolds are very far from headers btw...
But there'* actually A LOT of great info down here. There are even parts to build your own, and lots of info on how to go about design. It also shows what'* bad about a lot of common designs by big manufactures.

Cool! What I want to do is buy me a new engine later on down the road, have them install my current manifolds and ceramic coat the new ones and get them wrapped and then have them installed.

i hear ya jason, i want headers too, every time i look at the manifolds i wonder how much theyre holdin my car back from hp and possible pulley size

Series 2 L67 is more restrained by the manifolds than a series 1. Headers are probably the best thing to do for a car, helps increase flow and reduce knock.
