Whats the benefit of cleaning the TB? I know it'* suppose to help restore performance.. I"ve done it twice on 2 different cars and notice no difference.. I"m thinkin.. k.. it might cause a bit of turbulance from the uneven surface.. and it might reduce the ID a tad cause of the gunk.. but I never noticed a difference with my 2 other cars.. anyone notice a good thing bout it?

If your TB is dirty enough you will notice the pedal sticks when you first touch it. This can cause quite a stir if you have to hit the pedal hard to get it unstuck each time. (Try this in rush hour)
A good cleaning every so often will keep you from needing to do this.
Another way to clean out the TB..(quickie) is to leave the engine off..open butterfly and spray a can or two into it. The excess will run back out. Then start the car using typical flooded procedures. Warning: like others have already stated...can foul plugs.
Rev'er up a few good times to clean off the plugs.
