Default 160* stat, good to go?

I have a drilled 180* stat now with 104'* gapped to .050" and 3.3" pulley.
I have a 3.1" pulley in shipment and was wondering if it was time to drop to a 160* stat?
Does the pcm need a tweak' to accept the new stat? (I think this is true cause the fans come on at 180 now?).

With your current PCM settings your Drilled 180 is probably as good as the 160 would be. The 160 would open sooner but fan points would not come on until 185/195. The fact that your always flowing some coolant because your drilled would make up for the 160 opening sooner IMO. I wouldn't change until you have the fan points reset.

PDad, I have been running the 3.2" pulley with drilled 160 stat for a few months now with no problems. It definitely runs cooler than the drilled 180 even with the standard INTENSE PCM. The trick, as I have told you before is using the EStat from ZZP. It tricks the PCM into thinking you have a normal 180 stat. The fans are always on this way and the engine really runs cooler.
If you don't do it, I will be laughing at you in about 45 days.

Wiring in the E-stat will take you about 5 minutes and can be disconnected in about 2 seconds and reconnected anytime. It runs in parallel with the existing temp sensor that stays in place.
....and yes my fuel economy has improved and plugs running clean.
