Default Series II?

Well tomorrow i find out if my engine is messed up beyond repair, if it is my parents gonna cosign a loan with me for a new engine, is it possible to put a series II into my 1992? and if so what would i need, ECM, engine assembly? what else?

Well i can get a 2001 Series II and a 1997 tranny for 1600 for both, both come with 2 yr warranty, if im spending the money wont it be worth it?

if you can get them cheap, knock yourself out. Talk to a mechanic to see if there are any other issues you need to deal with.

If you have any competent performance shops in the area add on about 1000$ or more to get the series 2 in. I say keep it simple and put a series 1 in, less headache. :?

To keep your 4T60-E HD you will need a 1996 harness and pcm from another H-Body car, riviera (which I beleive is a G-Body). Otherwise get a engine and transmission from a 97+ H-Body to make your swap easier because that will allow everything to drop in, If you go with a 4T65-E HD you will need new axel shafts. If you get the engine and tranny out of H-Body the hardest part will be wiring.

he can get a 97 SE tranny and it will be a 4t60E

Yea, but with a supercharged car you want a 4T60-E HD
