Most junkyards cut the front of the airbag rendering them useless. Some bureaucratic red tape bs with insurance companies and DOT doesn't want wrecked car airbags back out in circulation. And frankly, I wouldn't trust one either.

they pass stuff like that because its easy to say no rather than do some actual investigating or engineering to see if its safe or not. it doesnt cost them anything either, the customer gets robbed by gm who could care less either they figure if it gets total they might get a sale or two from that

That'* what I had guessed. The airbags and sensors would be the worst. the body panels would be around 6 or 700. What sucks is, I'd just done all of that work to it.
