My insurance went down!
About 6 months back I had Safe Auto with full coverage. My stepdad had them also and they started constantly giving him a bunch of bs over past accidents (one was his fault, others weren't.) They would raise his rate untill he could send them something showing them he wasn't at fault for a accident that happened more then a year ago. So I decided if I was going to spend ~200 a/month for insurance I should get something better. I switched to Progressive & was paying $211 a/month. & finally this month it went down to 180 a/month! I'm not sure if this is becasue I will be 20 this year or I haven't gotten any tickets (that they know of ). But either way thats 31 less a month I am paying

Try State Farm- they may be able to beat Progressive. I know we can beat them here in MS but each state has their own rates. If you don't have any tickets or accidents, have proof of previous insurance for past year you can get a good rate. They also offer discounts for Steer Clear discount, and if you are a student with a 3.0 gpa you get another discount.

ive got state farm - 4 points on my liscence. also got hospital insurance thru them, i dont know what its for, but it saves me like, $30 per month bc the multi-line discount is more than the cost of hosp insurance. ive always had state farm, theyve always given me the best rates. oklahoma and michigan.

I know it'* different here in Canada, but for full coverage on 01 SLE and 94 SE we pay $164 a month.
$211 US that is really high, but age does have a lot to do with it.
Grats on the reduced rate McGrath
