alot of times its carbon buildup on the back of the butterfly, they dont have iac anymore to control idle. some have issues with intake manifold gaskets as well. cleaning the butterfly is cheap though.

mouse: you ride in the rain?

I do ride in the rain. But, because of it being summer time in the south, most of the rain comes at night when I'm already home for the day.

I've only been caught in the rain without my gear twice so far.

First job at work was an oil change and a brake job.

Sure was fun!

Another phone call today. Blazer overheated. I really hate this darn thing. Already got the radiator out. Cracked in the same spot the last radiator did. Oh well, off to Autozone tomorrow to get a new one. Oh geez, what else can I do while the hood is up? Might as well replace that worn out steering gear. I can't believe the core is $220 and the part is only $180.

So, I need someone to come over and just stand there and hand me beer, tools and the occasional smart aleck comment. Consumption of my beer is ok. Must be pretty, blonde, know what a socket is and have boat/motor in tow.
