well i talked to one of the master techs at work, he said that a flush may or may not help, the fluid is soblack that is is beyond burnt and the entire tranny has been cooking itself, he says the crap may be all thats holding it together, the jist of it was that the flush will do one of 3 things, nothing, fix it, or finish it off, either way my friend deifnitely has 2 problems caus ei dorve the car myself, the stalling is completely unrealted because when it'* in gear it'* fine, the stalling happens in park, neautral, and coasting, i tihnk the iac

The stalling sounds more EGR related.

Flush won't harm anything....urban myth.

*agrees* everyone screamed for me not to flush my bonne @170k with the original trans and what looked like the orig fluid, it did nothing but improve the shifting to where sometimes u dont feel them, and before it was so bad ud feel the car slow down and then shift and go again, u know, move forward in seat, shift, go back in seat

and from the sound of this car, the trans isnt gonna last anyways, just flush it and dont look back. (some lucas transmission additive after the flush might help too, it has in all of my older cars)

i was thinking iac cause it only starts to happen while in an idling state, but if you apply gas when the rpms start spazzing it will even out

did the trans flush, it was unholy, the old trans fluid looke dlike liquid graphite, his firstgear is definitley worn out cause sometimes it stutters and is weak in first but once it sin a higher gear its fine, but at least now it doesnt feel even close to actually failing, it wasnt a fix but i bought him some time, didnt even address the stalling issue yet
