On the way to the office...NOT 56k friendly
I brought my camera with me today so that I could snap a few shots of what I see once I get off the train and start my 10 minute walk to the office in downtown Montréal. If you haven't had the chance to visit, Montréal is a beautiful city and very lively in the summer.
Here goes;
The first thing I pass is the Bell Centre where the Montréal Canadians play hockey;
Another angle;
Next I'll pass the building at 1000 de la Gauchetiere;
Very interesting architecture;
Another angle;
And the last one;
Moving down the road, Windsor Station which is the central train station;
A wider angle;
Next up is an interesting mix of buildings;
IBM building on the left, Marriott hotel beside and Windsor Station in front;
The IBM Building;
Another interesting mix;
The Sunlife Insurance Building on the right, one of the oldest buildings in Montréal;
A different shot;
And one more;
More stuff on the way - Mountain Street;
A famous hotel for John Lennon;
Getting closer to the office;
I'm on the 31st floor, second from the top of the triangular topped building;
Looking north on McGill College Avenue, past McGill University at the top with the Royal Victoria Hospital (Victorian Buildings) perched at the side of Mont Royal;
Looking across the street;
Back down the street to the south;
Looking north again from further back;
Looking out the office window to the north;
My line of sight while posting to BC during the day, that'* the 1976 Olympic Stadium in the background;
I hope you enjoyed your tour!!
Cheers,

Yep..Montreal is a beautiful city. Its got a great combination of new and historic architecture. A fine city with a great reputation with younger Canadians.
Havent been in a LONG time tho. Possibly sometime in Summer 05, but those pics are TOP notch.

Great pictures Foghorn I was there 2 years ago for a hockey game against Ottawa. Loved the new Arena. Old Montreal was my favorite, especially the narrow streets.
