I've known about it for a few days. I've survived many rounds of cuts and layoffs in the last 15 years, including one 2 months ago (local, not global like this one).

This is an attempt to recover from what the former CEO tried to do to the company. I respect our new CEO for the tough decisions he needs to make.

I am protected in this round. No worries.

I will post some now. I wont go to detailed.

Intel P4 CPU 650HT 3.4 2MB
intel 955x pci express mobo
2GB DC DDR2533
480 watt ps
(1) 74gig 10krpm raptor and one 250gig sata 7200rpm raid 0
Nvidia 6800 ultra x16
sb audigy 2 zs
xp pro

They arent the original specs either. I ebayed the old CPU and swapped it for the 2mb cache with an updated board.
well i am jealous of the DDR 2, and the Raptor, how much did you pay for all that? thats the important factor....and RAID 0 doesnt really do you all that much good, hardly noticeable performance increase, and if one of those drives ever crashes, say bye bye data.

I'd say IBM > Dell > HP. Especially when it comes to laptops.

Well, I'd say HP>IBM>Dell, considering Dell doesn't even attempt to try to hold the high end of the market. They have no interest in it.

IBM is out of the pc hardware market now. There will still be thinkpads, but branded under Levino. Watch the next commercial and it will not say IBM. IBM will be Levino'* largest customer though.

As for personal hardware, I build my own. I currently have seven drives in my LanLi brushed alum case equaling 1 terabyte.

I love my HP Deskjet 812C printer. Six years old, it'* slow, but print quality still rivals that of brand-new printers. I really don't dig any of HP'* digital cameras though, too low-end for me.

This September, I'll be leasing-to-own an IBM Thinkpad R51 from school.

Oh i can build my own, and have twice. I built my file server sitting next to me which runs 24/7 too. I rebuilt my other one inside and out also. Nothing is original, not even the CPU.
