You need to clear your cookies, temp files, and cache. Wipe it all out. The cookie from the old forum software (before the big hack job and rebuild) isn't compatible with the new one. You must clear that old cookie and files for the new one to work.

No, No, NO, NO, y'all.
The cookies keep your login info.
Test my theory: Go to Ebay log in and the close it out IE. Go back to IE and go to ebay and it will say welcome back xxxxx at the top of the page. If you clear the cookies by whatever program, while your in IE, close it out and go back to ie. ebay, it will say, welcome new user or sign in.
Try IT, Not sure on FF

yeah. while cookies do keep your login information, if the cookie is no longer valid but has the same name, the site wont overwrite it. instead, it just wont read it.
test my theory:
go into your temp internet files, load whatever cookie ebay uses (im too lazy to find out what they name it), and delete half of the contents. then load ebay. it wont recognise you, and it wont overwrite your cookie.

Well, in my defense that'* how it works for me. I run XP Pro w/ stock IE. I see that I really belabored the point; my bad everyone.
