Between emissions and the crossfire snafu they weren't ready and didn't offer an 83. So the 84 was the biggest suckball of a car...lol

The vette lost all power for a number of years. A buddy I knew had an 87. I was putting pieces together to build a mustang and got an 85 HO motor for it. Had 240hp, the 87 vette had 240hp...

I asked someone at work to find me a 83 Vette. I told that person hat I still haven't found one.

I heard another reason why they didn't make a 83 Vette was because they were trying to finish the new factory in Bowling Green, KY for the Vettes.

Probably wouldn't work too well, 1st question a guy asks for is year and make and attempts to pull it up on computer. Now, if it was old school like I used to do, the scheme would work on books.
