ya the ts80 came out just after the franklin ace and changed the whole thing around and was to much money for me with two very young children vic 2o was like $100, ace64 was like $200 with the memory module and th ets went over $400 so I didnt have one again till late 80'*. bought a used 386 with like 540MB . I thought it was THE computer of the future. ROFL Now I have a ! gig mem stick and keep looking at it and wonder how they do it. Are hard drives on their way out?

I remeber getting my first 10 gig hard drive, and wondering how I was ever gonna fill it up.

My first computer was a TRS80, then went though the Commodores, and worked my way up.

Remember what Bill Gates said, tho. We will never need more than 640K of RAM.....

yep and he already had IBM by the cohones and counting all the bread coming in.
My first real computer was a Pentium 1 90hz and I couldnt imagine filling up 1.2 gig. And been spending up ever since. at least the prices went down....the pentium 1 set me bak $1499 and I had to wait a month to come up with the cash for a monitor....To bad iBM didnt see the PC coming quick enuff. my hometown was the birthplace of IBM and 15000 people here lost there jobs in the 90"*
