Wow! Best idea so far! The hotel could be that little cross in the middle. Well, that does kind of avoid the contest, but it'* interesting.

I really like the idea of shaping the island into the arrowhead logo, and the hotel could be easily made into the cross in the middle. My vote for the name is Bonnevista Island, "the place were dreams come true". In the center of the island, we can have bronze statues of all of the gens of Bonnevilles, along with rows of Pontiac and GM flags.

I'm not really sold on Bonnevista. I don't know why. I do know that we'd catch a lot of whatever it is that you catch, perhaps "flak," when you build bronze statues of your favorite objects. I honestly don't know if it'* flak that you catch. But oh well.
I'm also not sold on many of my names. I was thinking about it yesterday, and egotistically enough, my favorite name right now is Bonneville Flat Island! I want beefy, mustache-clad big dudes coming by to try to race their boats and Bonnevilles. My Bonneville was used by the previous owner to tow a giant boat with a small block V8 in the back. Yes, it'* on its 3rd transmission or so, but who'* counting? If we get that island in Tennessee, we can probably pull off a really nice tourist count because of the location. Adeianos and I, and probably many others, strongly recommend against Nova Scotia.
I still dare say we'll rake in tourists. They can definitely help us pay off our island. We could probably soon after the place is built up get the investments (and more) right into our bank accounts. So, it seems RJGill84 is in. I'm guessing from the 84, RJ, that you're 2 years older than I am. Great! All the more education progress. I'm just a junior in college, but I've been going for a double major in Business and Math. With your finance major, we could do some rocking tourist raking!
But it'* not really the tourists & money we're after, right? It'* the Bonnevilles! I think a floated or flown over Bonneville is a golden ticket to free massages, the sleep I lack as I type this, and a discount from the food. And then we can set up those cheesy TV commercials that let people know we're different because we're not like everyone else. Paid actors need to show how inhumanely ecstatic they are to be there. It'll make our commercial really blend in with every single other one that has ever been filmed for any vacation resort, so we won't stand out as the bunch of kooks I might be making us out to be.
And congratulations to lglarum, who won his $5 share pretty much immediately at the start of the contest. I wonder if we can raise enough money to get a large enough island that you can see the Pontiac logo from space! We could dye it red with the outside road, about 20 lanes, and the center hotel all out of gray cement so that it looks like the Pontiac logo just sitting there on the planet. No, it'* not just Earth, it'*:
Pontiac Earth
I remember a $10,000+ ~90 white Bonneville with about 25K miles on it that was given free to one of GM'* plant managers as a thanks for his years of loyal service. He helped design some of the dashboard, I recall. With this thread, we should have at least earned a free frosted doughnut or something. Who has ties to GM HQ?

Well, I've made the site. The writing is sarcastic and green, but this will either grow or fail. Considering how much further than 1 page in the Lounge this has gone, please don't lock this.

FYI. I don't think anyone would Donate to that since it is not an actual orgnaization. Maybe once you start an organization with the proper paper work might it seem feasable, but as it stands right now, it looks more like a "Donate to Radomir" idea. I would venture to guess that most people here would not be comfortable with you holding onto the money, for whatever reason, without some sort of binding contract and a way to get the money back if this didn't materialize.
Plus, you need to be careful about how you state things. You state Ownership possibilities in a corporation, but no such corporation exists. Also, you blatently copy the look of BC, so there is a similarity between the sites that could be construed as it have an affiliation with this site, which it does not.

Locked.

Please remove that site or edit out any inferred affiliation with BC or Jeff Keacher/Peter Davis.
