Faurd Taurus ?
My co-worker is having problems with not having any power in her Taurus.
it'* a 93 Taurus Wagon. Not sure on which motor.
Not only is there now power, it is also losing oil. Used about 1 quart in a bout 1 month.
Guessing head gasket???

The problem has been pinpointed. ____It'* a Ford. A Repair has been established.
A) Open hood
B) Remove the radiator cap
C) Pull Ford back out of way and discard
D) Drive GM vehicle back in place of Ford
E) Replace radiator cap.
Sorry,...... I couldnt resist. Hey! This IS the Lounge

I would recommend finding out which motor it has before blaming the head gasket. Tune up and stuff done i trust? How is fuel mileage?
This is about as vague as saying my car wont start.

Knew that was coming
She even thought it was funny.
Tune up was done just over a year ago.
I was thinking head gasket due to loss of oil with no visible leaks.

Sounds like it'* needing a lot of help.
My mother in law has a Taurus, in the 6 years she'* owned it, she has spent more per year in repairs than she paid for the car originally. Seriously!!

that much oil loss i would suspect you would see it burning it. 60k is kinda low miles, maybe too low. did it set for a while. how does the oil smell? Ever had the cat converter checked? Air filter? Etc?
