Do you have a DIC installed in your vehicle? Know how to use it? There are various types of DIC'*. Some are small, some are large, some extravagant, some simple. Tell us about your DIC.

The Bonneville has the all out DIC from the factory. Tells me everything about everything.
The Silverado has a basic DIC. Just tells me operating hours, when to change the oil (no percent), and if there is a problem (like battery no charge).

mine tells me engine hours, come on when needs oil, washer fluid, and yells at me to buckle my seat belt and if doors are open.

Mine doesn't have a DIC :(

The only action that I get is a needle that tells me how fast I am going (too bad its wrong) and to tell me about how much gas I have in the tank.

Oh, and it bongs if I do something it doesn't like.

My DIC seems to work a lot better with the seat all the way back and a woman in the car.

Electrical problem? Who can tell.

the one in the monte, i stare at the mileage all the time to try to remind me to keep my foot out of it. i really like that all the noises are through the radio and since i changed it no annoying bs noise all the time.

the one in the bonnie is ridiculous with bongs and noises all the friggin time. it tell you everything but ive had a bunch of trouble(more than any other problem on the car), the ground bus, coolant level sensor, and the center brake kept saying the bulb was out but it was on. after about a month of intermittent dinging i just got a whole pigtail and wiring and soldered them in.

from my 07, doesnt seem nearly as cool but does everything the bonnie does

I just have a basic DIC, but it does everything I need. My wife likes to play with it when I am driving.
