Doing some research tonight on previous small claims cases (I had a hunch) and guess what I found out..
This guy is already CURRENTLY BEING SUED!!! He has had 2 months to file an answer and has not. He only has a bit over a week to answer or he will lose the case by default.
This confirms what I already know about this guy...he will avoid an issue to the end and not admit fault. He will definitely not answer my claim, and will not show up to court if he does. In a way that pisses me off since I want to get a chance to tell the court my case, show them the news footage, and humiliate him in public.
But on the other hand, I would get the judgement for the full $1335 plus court costs. And it'* pretty easy to get an 'execution' from the court to collect the payment.
This guy has nowhere to hide.

Good luck on collecting. Winning is one thing, but collecting is a pain.
I won my only small claims case back in the 80'* for $800.00, but she made it impossible for me to collect. I was garnishing her wages, but I had to go to the courthouse every month to file, take off work to do it...Then she quit her job, so all I could do was to collect from the sale of her vehicle, but it was not under her name, so i couldn't do that. The court said...Oh well...

As much as I want to forget about this, I will not. I did go to court to file the papers about 2 or 3 Fridays ago. Unfortunately, even though I was at the right court and did all my research, the woman there was a complete B----, rude in every aspect of the word, and wouldn't take my credit card payment even though I was told I could use it. So instead of mailing in my papers with her scribbled out signature, I decided to print out the papers again and file them in person the following week.
Since having the issue with the 94 and then being busy searching for a new car, I have not been back to court to file yet. I plan on getting the papers filed really soon. Maybe I can take a half-day Friday.
It'* a total PITA since this would have been done if it wasn't for the waste of space they had behind the clerk'* desk.
I could really use the money I'm suing this guy for, and I don't see why I should not win. He did not answer the lawsuit he is currently under right now, so he probably lost that case also. Collecting will probably take numerous months. But I chose to trade the Sebring in now because it was a completely boring car to drive and I couldn't postpone getting a newer SSEi because of this saga.
If anyone asks, it'* still sitting in my driveway. I have a feeling the question of whether I still have it or not will never come up though.
