Default '91 Olds 98?

Gonna go look at one tommorow. I hear it has about 90k miles on it, and was owned by an older lady until about 6 months, where another guy drove it kind of hard, and then traded it into a dealership a buddy owns. Said he could sell it to me for $1000. Said it runs great, and the A/C works fine too, with the exeption of the air not being diverted correctly all the time <suspected vacuum leak issue>. What should I look for in this car? When I look at the car, I get a completely neutral feeling, perhaps slight favorable, which means it would just simply be a car to drive. Hoping to get it to hold out until i can save penuts for something with some whine.

well, it was actually an olds 88 <my bad >. turned out to not be what i am looking for. frayed wires all over the place. suspicious wires running from inside to under the hood, little bit of grey smoke coming from the exhaust, not to mention that when i checked the coolant, it spewed all over the place, and the car was not even hot <barely running for 5 minutes, radiator was still cool to touch>. oil looked old, but i spotted a brand new looking oil filter on the car. the thing that scared me the most, is that when we shut the car off, the blower kept running for a few seconds, instead of shutting off with the key. did i mention it took some cranking <5-6 seconds> to start? there was other stuff wrong too. I decided to pass on this one.

On another note, i did a tune up on the tempo, and tweaked the timing. Hasnt run this good in a long time
