Default G8 or Acadia?

I've been looking into both cars, I know they are totally different, but I like the features, smoothness, looks, HUD, and utility of the GMC Acadia. But I also love the uniqueness, styling, speed and fun of a g8. Before you say g8 because of the fun factor, I already have a sportbike I can have a blast on if I feel the need for speed.

So given all that, what do you guys think? I mean they're both great looking vehicles that will last well a while and can be had for cheap used in a year or two.

I'm pretty sure if you buy a G8 you will be taxed with a state and federal "Gas Guzzlers" Tax.

Not so with an Acadia

i think the acadia is a better choice. they're relatively powerful, versatile, and definitely won't catch the cop'* eye as easily. i think that they're mosre practical in everyday life and as long as you have another "toy" to keep you busy, then go for practicality.

G8 GXP, hands down. 400HP, 402 Lbs of torque out of an LS3, bolted to a six-speed Tremec TR6060 manual transmission, moving the sexy beast to 0-to-60 mph in 4.7 seconds, and a quarter-mile time of 13.0 seconds at 108 mph. All that in a sleek luxury package. Ya, I'd hit it..... Anybody want to buy a slightly used Award winning, Nitrous injected Bonne driven by a grandfatherly type gentleman. Gramps needs a new Pontiac. It even comes in Red.

Maybe when I get my degree and get some nice officer pay! For the gas i mean . As much as I miss having a badass car, on my bike I get the extra sex appeal, more performance, cheaper payments and insurance(liability), and 45+ MPG. So If I go for the g8 then I'll only get the GT.

Big thing on the acadia is, well what I miss most of all on the bonnie is the HUD and, well...

No HUD! LOL . I read HUD'* dont sell well in AussieLand and they didnt want to retrofit it into the G8 for American sales. Cost wasnt worth the amenity. Remember this IS a rebadged import...... The G8 is the balance of give and take between Pontiac and Holden. Just because they are both GM doesnt mean they have the same executive hiearchy and engineer structure. And just another reason GM is going down the drain with it'* fingernails scrathcing at the pipe walls as it hits the sewer. GM cars these days have alot of executive mouths to feed. As well as the thugs at the UAW....... Ya,....... somebody pissed on my Wheaties this AM and I'm grouchy. LOL

Looking at that side shot of the G8 reminds me of Cadilac for some reason, I was a big fan of the 2006 GTO, definately a hot car IMO
